When reading a novel, do you prefer that is is written in past or present tense?

6 notes:

  1. shatteredmoon answered: Past, because most books are past tense. Present throws me off, but there’s nothing inherently wrong with it.
  2. gunstreet answered: honestly, I almost never take note unless they change tenses during the course of the book.
  3. raeneepiglet answered: present
  4. shandamn answered: For some reason, I automatically assume the novel is written in past tense, so it throws me off when it’s written in present tense.
  5. wornwhite answered: present
  6. -teenagewildlife answered: Past.
